Campaign Story
The current economic hardship in Nigeria has significantly impacted families with limited financial resources. As a result, an increasing number of out-of-school children are forced to roam the streets, searching for scrap metals to sell in order to survive. Many young individuals who have completed secondary school lack the resources to pursue further education or vocational training, leading them to engage in petty crimes and social vices. This alarming trend, if left unchecked, may lead to widespread illiteracy, cultism, and armed robbery. To address this issue proactively, I am deeply touched to seek sponsorship to support the education of 350 disadvantaged boys and girls whose parents are deceased or unable to afford educational expenses. Additionally, I aim to provide vocational training to 50 young individuals who lack the resources to pursue higher education or vocational skills. This program, with your support, will enhance academic performance, develop essential skills, and boost self-esteem and confidence among out-of-school children. Ultimately, it will contribute to safer communities for all. The total program cost is $39,699 (approximately ₦65,500,000). The breakdown is as follows: – Education: $31,819 (₦52,500,000) – Skill Development: $6,667 (₦11,000,000) – Administration/Logistics: $1,213 (₦2,000,000) I pledge to ensure transparency and accountability by publicly disclosing all funds received and spent. Regular updates will be provided to sponsors and the general public on the program’s progress. Your sponsorship, regardless of the amount, will play a vital role in empowering disadvantaged children and helping them discover their value in society.
